Leveler Protective Technology Announces New RPM at the NRA Show

Downers Grove, IL – March 30, 2006 – Leveler Protective Technology® introduces the latest in its line of Bantam™ Power Purifiers, the Bantam RPM (Remote Printer Module).  It was designed for the needs of small thermal printers, credit card readers and other low-power electronics. The Bantam RPM will be making its debut in May at the National Restaurant Associations Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show 2006 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

The RPM was developed as a result of Leveler listening to customer feedback and desires.  The Power Quality Services department researched and documented power quality in various restaurants during peak times.  Their examinations uncovered that the smallest electronics in the retail environment are the most vulnerable to the full spectrum of power problems.  Leveler’s Vice President of Production & Technical Services, Michael Januszewski, said, “Yes, these small electronics are, in most cases, inexpensive to purchase, but a failure can spell a revenue disaster.  The RPM makes sure that a disaster will not happen because of power problems.”

According to Leveler customer feedback, customers have three requirements when choosing power protection equipment.  First, customers want best-in-class protection for those small electronics which are relied upon at key times.  Secondly, they need the protection to be out of the way, small, silent and foolproof.  Lastly, it should not be cost prohibitive to own or operate.  With its diminutive size and short cord, the RPM was designed to be wall mounted next to the outlet used by remote printers, card readers or time clocks.

The RPM eliminates the possibility of electricity damaging a device.  It contains Leveler’s patented Power Purifying technology that converts and normalizes power based on what the electronic device draws.  The RPM will block spikes in power that could damage electronics and will also make the power as clean as possible.  The result is worry-free operation of low-power devices.

Leveler plans to have the RPM ready for distribution by June 30, 2006.  They will debut the product in Booth 9076 at the NRA Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show 2006 held May 20-23 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.  Michael Januszewski went on to say, “The RPM product was developed for the restaurant industry from store operators’ input. It offers a level of protection that far exceeds the performance of any comparable class of device, hands down. It is affordable, made in the USA, and completely reliable.”
